Raiders new WR Crabtree talks about criticism with 49ers
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree is shedding no tears over his departure from the 49ers, which resulted in a short move to Oakland.

Crabtree signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal for $3.2 million with the Raiders.

His experience in San Francisco was not always positive, especially as it neared its end. He spoke about feeling disrespected, referring himself as a third-down receiver and a fourth option, after an overtime victory over New Orleans. The result was criticism about his attitude.

"That's just talk," Crabtree told ESPN. "I don't worry about talk. Some people say a lot of things, but until you get to know people, then you'll know for yourself. It's just talk. ... I was friends with my teammates."

Crabtree never fulfilled his potential with the Niners after being selected No. 10 overall in 2009. Injuries prevented him from displaying his explosiveness and he finished his six seasons there with 347 receptions for 4,237 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Raiders WR Michael Crabtree trying to prove himself
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

After struggling to produce the same numbers in 2014 as previous seasons, Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree said he's working to silence his doubters, reports CSNBayArea.com.

"I've got a lot to prove, a lot," Crabtree said. "I don't have anything to lose, but I've got a lot to prove."

Crabtree caught 68 receptions for 698 yards in 2014, and coach Jack Del Rio said he can still be a productive player.

"He brings sure hands, the ability to separate and catch the ball," he said. "He has played in big games and made big catches. He has had significant production through the first six years of his career. He's a good football player."

Raiders' Del Rio on Michael Crabtree: Good to have him on team
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said he is pleased the team was recently able to add veteran wide receiver Michael Crabtree, reports CSNBayArea.com.

"It's great to have Michael on board," Del Rio said. "Obviously, he's a guy that's been a productive player on a real good team the last several years and comes in here eager to join our organization and become a good teammate and to find his way and create a role for himself. So, he's a guy that has an outstanding catching radius, a real good understanding of how to get himself open and find some of the soft spots in a defense. He knows how to go up and make the contested catch and those kinds of things. We feel good about being able to acquire Michael."

Crabtree is trying to rebound after a disappointing 2014 season where he caught 68 passes for 698 yards and four touchdowns.

Report: Deal signed by WR Crabree with Raiders worth $3 million
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

The one-year contract signed Monday night by wide receiver Michael Crabtree with the Raiders totals $3 million, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Sources had claimed he was seeking a $4.5 million deal but had to settle for less with the possibility of earning more through incentives.

The 27-year-old Crabtree has slipped in recent seasons after peaking at 85 catches for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns in 2012. He snagged 68 for 698 yards and four scores for San Francisco last year. It was his first full season after undergoing surgery on a torn Achilles tendon.

Report: WR Michael Crabtree expected to sign with Raiders
by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com

The Raiders are adding a receiver to the roster.

According to a report from ESPN, receiver Michael Crabtree will sign a contract with the Raiders as early as Monday night. Crabtree spent his first six NFL seasons with the 49ers, thus making his travel plans rather light.

Crabtree confirmed the news on Twitter, posting that he has signed with the team

"It's official.. I'm a Raider," he wrote.

Last week, Crabtree visited the Raiders but did not sign a contract. He reportedly took a patient approach to free agency.

The Dolphins were also in pursuit of Crabtree since the new league year began.

In 2014, Crabtree caught 68 passes for 698 yards and four touchdowns. His best season with the Niners came in 2012, when he went for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns.
