Colin Kapernick throws one touchdowns in 49ers' Week 7 loss
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 24 of his 39 passes for 263 yards with one touchdown and one interception Sunday night, adding 18 rushing yards on three carries in his team's 42-17 loss to the Broncos in Week 7.

Kaepernick was running for his life through much of the night, taking six sacks as the 49ers fell behind early and never found a way to keep up with Peyton Manning. The 49ers left Blaine Gabbert finish the game in mop-up duty. Kaepernick has managed 1,719 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions in seven games as well as 260 rushing yards. He'll square off with the Rams in Week 9 after the 49ers take a bye.

Colin Kaepernick has fine for inappropriate language reduced
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had his fine of $11,000 for inappropriate language reduced by half because there was no evidence of racial language, according to CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Kaepernick still has to pay half the fine after appeal for using "profanity."

Kaepernick was fined in mid-September for using inappropriate language in a Week 2 game against the Bears. Kaepernick, who was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after jawing at Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston, appealed the fine.

"I didn't say anything," Kaepernick said after getting fine in September. "Lamarr Houston said I didn't say anything. We're going to leave it at that."

Colin Kaepernick becoming more trustworthy
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

With his team trailing for the entire first half, Colin Kaepernick let it fly Week 6 at St. Louis and put up numbers on par with some of the elite passers in the game as a result. He threw for 300 yards for just the third time in his career and had three touchdown passes for just the fourth time.

It gave you a sense of what his upside could be if the 49ers opened up their offense a little more, but with such a strong defense, they rarely have reason to do that.

Still, with Frank Gore aging, Kaepernick himself has been more of a weapon for them this year, throwing for at least 200 yards every week. While this was his first game with more than 20 Fantasy points in standard CBSSports.com leagues (in part because it was just his third game with multiple touchdowns), he has at least scored double-digit Fantasy points every week, making him the seventh-best player at the position to date. His rushing ability keeps him consistent.

My assessment of Kaepernick hasn't really changed with this performance. He's a quarterback you can feel comfortable starting every week, but efforts like this one where he sets your team apart will be few and far between.

Colin Kaepernick posts third career 300-yard passing game
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started slowly Monday against the Rams, but got untracked with a stunning 80-yard touchdown throw to Brandon Lloyd right before halftime. The sideline bomb propelled Kaepernick to his third career 300-yard passing game as he completed 22 of 36 throws for 343 yards and three scores with no turnovers.

Kaepernick also ran three times for 37 yards and leads all quarterbacks with 242 rushing yards this year.

Kaepernick's second touchdown throw was his most impressive. Rolling left to escape a heavy rush, Kaepernick tossed an 11-yard strike over two defenders to Anquan Boldin in the back of the end zone. Kaepernick later hit a wide-open Michael Crabtree for a 32-yard touchdown, giving him his first three-touchdown performance this season. The 80-yarder to Lloyd was the longest completion of Kaepernick's career.

He visits the Broncos for Sunday Night Football.

Colin Kaepernick efficient in Week 5 win
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick avoided mistakes in the Week 5 home win over the Chiefs. He completed 14 of 26 throws for 201 yards and a touchdown and did not commit a turnover despite being under heavy pressure and taking three sacks.

Kaepernick, who ran 10 times for 18 yards, hit a wide-open Steve Johnson for a 9-yard score in the second quarter. Kaepernick's 29-yard completion to Brandon Lloyd set up the go-ahead field goal midway through the fourth quarter.

Having accounted for seven touchdowns and five turnovers, Kaepernick visits the Rams in Week 6 on Monday Night Football.
