Saints' Drew Brees: Tosses three picks in Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brees was 31-for-44 passing for 326 yards and three interceptions during Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Lions.

Coming off the high of a 49-21 pummeling of the Rams, Brees racked up 300 yards for a league-best eighth time in 12 games and amazingly nailed his average yards per game right on the head (326). On a sour note, the Saints succeeded on just one of three red-zone visits just one week removed from scoring touchdowns on all five of them. Despite allowing a field goal on the first possession after halftime, Brees and company were still in striking distance at 16-6, but the quarterback sprinkled three interceptions and just one touchdown drive among the team's five opportunities, ruining any chance at a comeback. Now two games behind the Falcons and potentially the Buccaneers in the NFC South standings, he'll now prepare for a key road matchup next Sunday with the latter.

Saints' Drew Brees: Explodes for five total touchdowns
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Brees completed 28 of 36 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Rams. He added another touchdown on a one-yard quarterback sneak.

Brees feasted on what had been a solid Rams secondary, and his rushing touchdown was pure gravy for his fantasy owners. Per usual, Brees shined at home, completing passes to eight different pass catchers, although, surprisingly, none to top receiver Brandin Cooks. The Saints have a favorable matchup in Week 13 -- a home tilt against a malleable Lions pass defense -- so Brees should again be an excellent option for fantasy owners.

Saints' Drew Brees: Comeback attempt falls short in Week 11
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brees completed 35 of 44 passes for 285 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's 23-20 loss to the Panthers. He didn't net any yards on two rushes and lost a fumble.

Brees' final stat line certainly looks appealing, but the Panthers made him settle for much shorter throws than usual, holding him to this third-lowest YPA of the season (6.48). He did fire multiple touchdowns for the third straight week, and was able to post his highest single-game completion percentage (79.6) of the season while connecting with 10 different pass catchers. Brees will try to get the Saints back in the win column when they take on the Rams in Week 12.

Saints' Drew Brees: Slings three touchdowns in loss
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Brees completed 21 of 29 passes for 303 yards, three touchdowns and two picks in Sunday's loss to Denver.

If not for a bizarre blocked PAT in the game's closing moments, the story of Sunday's matchup would have been Brees' turnaround in the second half. After being confounded by Denver's tight coverage, tossing two early picks to safety Darian Stewart, Brees took advantage of some Denver miscues to throw three touchdowns in the second half -- including a 32-yard strike up the seam to Brandin Cooks that looked to have been the game-winning score late. The dominant second half, in which the Saints mixed and matched their receivers against the Denver defense, showed just how dangerous the veteran is right now. He's thrown for over three touchdowns with 300 yards in four of the Saints' five games since their bye. His best performance, a four-score, 465 yard campaign in Week 6, was against his next opponent -- the stumbling Carolina Panthers.

Saints' Drew Brees: Throws three touchdowns at San Francisco
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brees completed 28 of 39 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 41-23 win at San Francisco.

Brees had another efficient game, completing at least one pass to 10 different players. He continues to utilize rookie Michael Thomas, as they hooked up five times for 73 yards and two touchdowns. The veteran QB will have a tough test next week against the Broncos, although they will play in the Superdome.
