Report: Jordy Nelson seeking at least $10 million annually
by Larry Hartstein |

Packers receiver Jordy Nelson, who's entering the last year of his deal, wants at least $10 million annually in a new contract, reports Nelson will earn $3.5 million this season.

Nelson will be looking for more than Atlanta's Roddy White, who signed a four-year extension Thursday that is reportedly worth up to $30 million with $18 million guaranteed.

Jordy Nelson, not Randall Cobb, is Packers' No. 1 receiver
by Larry Hartstein |

The Packers' official website considers Jordy Nelson the team's No. 1 receiver and Randall Cobb the No. 2 receiver. Nelson, who plays the "X" receiver spot, is the guy who "lines up on the line of scrimmage. He’s the guy who’s big enough and strong enough to get off the jam, and fast enough to defeat the jam and still get deep," the website said.

Cobb plays the flanker or the slot. "He’s a guy who plays off the line of scrimmage and is used in a lot of strategic ways," the report said.

Packers have to decide on future of Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Packers enter this season knowing receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson will be free agents after this year, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

And both receivers are hoping to get paid.

"I'm not a businessman, so I don't really know that side of that, that's what I have an agent for," said Cobb. "That's for the Packers to decide and to figure out."

Nelson was asked if he talked to his agent and gave any kind of deadline discussing, or not discussing, a possible extension as he prepares for the upcoming season.

"Obviously, you want to get it done as soon as possible," said Nelson. "But there are a lot of other people that are involved in that. It's a process and we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. I guess I'm more focused on hoping it gets done before we get to that."
