Davante Adams makes other Packers less predictable
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

For the second time in three games, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams went for more than 70 yards, contributing 75 on seven catches Week 8 at New Orleans. He also tied for the team lead in targets with nine.

The trouble for Fantasy owners is that this production came at the expense of star wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who had just 25 yards on three catches. Randall Cobb still had 126 yards on five catches, so Adams didn't intrude on everyone, but it doesn't change the fact that on a day when Aaron Rodgers threw for a season-high 418 yards, the Packers' top wide receiver wasn't really involved.

Adams clearly isn't going away, which is great news for owners in deeper leagues where even third wide receivers have value. But he may prove to be a pest for Nelson and Cobb owners.

You're starting Nelson and Cobb in Fantasy regardless, but don't freak out when they have a game like Nelson had Sunday.

Jordy Nelson turns in a dud Week 8
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Packers wideout Jordy Nelson turned in a rare low-key performance Sunday night in New Orleans. Despite Aaron Rodgers passing for 418 yards, Nelson caught just three passes for a season-low 25 yards. He was targeted five times, tied for fourth on the team.

Nelson drew some double coverage and often was shadowed by Saints top corner Keenan Lewis. As a result, Rodgers opted to exploit other matchups.

Nelson saw his four-game scoring streak come to an end. He's on a bye Week 9.

Packers WR Jordy Nelson makes only grab count for six
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson scored his fourth touchdown of the season in a 42-10 Week 5 victory at home over the Vikings on Thursday.

Nelson got Harrison Smith to bite hard on a double move and broke free to catch a 66-yard play action pass from Aaron Rodgers for a touchdown in the opening quarter. With the game well out of hand, the starters were benched in the fourth quarter and strangely enough, it was his only catch of the night. Nelson entered Thursday as the highest targeted receiver in the league. He was only targeted three times in a 42-10 victory.

Nelson has 34 catches for 525 yards and four touchdowns through five games. He'll look for more targets in Week 6 at Miami.
