Panthers' Ted Ginn: Catches 61-yard touchdown pass
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ginn hauled in his lone target for a 61-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Titans.

Ginn showed exactly why he'll retain a role in the Carolina offense, even though Kelvin Benjamin is healthy and Devin Funchess is no longer a rookie. The speedy Ginn makes for a nice complement to his hulking teammates, and he figures to open the season as the No. 2 or 3 wide receiver. It probably won't be a lucrative role for fantasy purposes, especially if Philly Brown also makes a push for significant playing time.

Panthers' Ted Ginn: Helps set up field goal
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ginn caught one pass for nine yards and took one carry for 17 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Ravens.

Ginn took a reverse on Carolina's first offensive play, and then caught a short pass later in the same drive. He'll still be an important part of the Carolina offense, but with Kelvin Benjamin healthy and Devin Funchess no longer a rookie, Ginn will likely play fewer snaps than he did last season.

Panthers' Ted Ginn: Tallies 74 yards receiving in Super Bowl loss
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Ginn secured four of 10 targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 24-10 Super Bowl loss to the Broncos. He also netted two yards on three punt returns.

The 30-year-old was unable to convert many of his game-high 10 targets due to a suffocating Broncos defense, but did secure a game-long 45-yard pass from Cam Newton on the second play of the third quarter. Denver was also careful to not allow Ginn many opportunities to do some of his trademark damage on punt returns, limiting him to just two yards on the three occasions in which he touch the ball on special teams. Despite difficulties hanging on to the ball at times throughout 2015, Ginn certainly proved to be serviceable and at times dynamic big-play threat. He hauled in 44 receptions for 739 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns during the campaign, serving as a particularly valuable weapon in the season-long absence of Kelvin Benjamin (knee).

Panthers' Ted Ginn: Runs for a score against Arizona
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ted Ginn caught both of the passes that came his way during Sunday's NFC championship win for 52 total yards. He added a 22-yard touchdown run during the game.

Ginn zig-zagged his way toward Carolina's first touchdown of the night on a 22-yard end-around. Ginn only touched the ball thrice during the game, but two of those touches went for over 20 yards. Ginn's speed makes him a source of constant concern for opposing defenses. He'll take on some very skilled Denver cover corners in the Super Bowl, but it will be the health of free safety Darian Stewart that will get a lot of attention in the next two weeks. Stewart left Sunday's AFC championship game with an injury and provides a safety net for his fellow cover men.

Panthers' Ted Ginn: Limited to 11 yards against Seattle
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Ginn had an 11-yard rush and didn't pull in his lone target in Sunday's win over Seattle. He muffed a punt during the contest.

Ginn has tallied just 20 total yards in his last two outings. Battling a sore knee and with the team up big early, Ginn was not featured much in Carolina's offense on Sunday. From Weeks 12 through 16, Ginn scored seven touchdowns in five games, more than he had in any previous season, doing so on just 18 total catches. Ginn can make huge plays, accompanied by major fantasy points, when he's healthy - making the status of his knee a major story line going into the conference title game.
