Joseph was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6 following his performance in Sunday's 33-17 win over the Browns.
Joseph intercepted Cleveland quarterback Kevin Hogan twice, returning one 82 yards for a touchdown. Along with the picks, he had three tackles (two solo), one tackle for a loss and three passes defensed. The 33-year-old has taken on an expanded role in the secondary this season with the departure of A.J. Bouye in free agency and with Kevin Johnson dealing with knee injury.
Joseph had two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and three tackles in Week 6's 33-17 win over Cleveland.
Joseph, whose touchdown was his first since 2014, had been in a bit of drought with just one interception over the last two seasons. With injuries (J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus) and suspension (Brian Cushing) decimating the front seven, Houston's secondary will be challenged, which presents more opportunities for Joseph.
Joseph (groin) did not participate in practice for a second straight day Thursday but is expected to play Sunday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Joseph, who's already played through a shoulder injury this season, is coming off a season-high six tackles in last week's loss to the Chiefs. He and the rest of the secondary become important pieces on defense after Houston lost J.J. Watt (knee) and Whitney Mercilus (pectoral) this past week.
Joseph (shoulder) is active for Sunday's matchup with the Patriots.
Joseph was limited in practice throughout the week but was left off the team's final injury report. He'll play and isn't expected to be limited at all.
Joseph (shoulder) is expected to play against the Patriots on Sunday.
Joseph only practiced on a limited basis this week but is not listed as questionable, so apparently the Texans are confident he can play. It's fantastic news after the veteran cornerback underwent a second MRI little more than a week ago, and Houston will need him as they will try to contain Tom Brady on Sunday.
