Chargers' Jason Verrett: Questionable for training camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Verrett (knee) isn't allowed to take part in team drills but could return in time for training camp, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports. "He's trying to get in there," coach Anthony Lynn said. "I had to kick him out of walk-through last week. He can't even do walk-though because that's considered a team drill...It's kind of wait-and-see, but yes I'd love to have him back for training camp."

Verrett has proven to be one of the best corners in the league when healthy but has missed 24 games over the past three seasons due to various injuries. While he's making progress on a torn ACL, it may still be a while until the 26-year-old is cleared to take the field. Look for more updates to come once training camp rolls around.

Chargers' Younghoe Koo: Competing for starting job
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Koo is in competition with incumbent starter Josh Lambo for the Chargers' starting kicker job, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.

Head coach Anthony Lynn said the kicker job is an open competition, which doesn't come as much surprise after Lambo finished 19th in the league in terms of field-goal accuracy as well as 0-for-3 from beyond 50 yards. What's more, Lambo excruciatingly sent three kickoffs out of bounds. In all likelihood, the winner will likely be decided by who fares better in preseason action.

Chargers' Mike Williams: Could be ready for training camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Williams (back) could be ready for the start of training camp, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.

Williams was diagnosed with a mild disk herniation during his first practice of rookie minicamp, and as a result hasn't been able to take the practice field during OTAs. Head coach Anthony Lynn "hopes" Williams will be able to practice at the starting of training camp, as the 2017 first-round pick is expected to undergo extensive physical therapy prior to the start of camp. Hope doesn't always spring eternal when it comes to the Chargers' injury woes, meaning the organization could take a cautious approach with their prized No. 7 overall pick. Given the nature of the injury and the wealth of WR depth already on the roster, don't be surprised if Williams' recovery takes a bit longer than expected.
